OK where to start? This blog is about sharing my discoveries about and of covered bridges in Indiana, hence the title.

I was born and grew up in a town called Bournemouth, in the county of Dorset, in the United Kingdom, more exactly England, a part of the UK. Orherwise known as Britain, or Great Britain. Where the Queen and hot tea come from…

As far as I know, there are no covered bridges in England, so when I discovered them here, in Indiana, I was intrigued and fascinated …

I remember, a few years ago, seeing a movie, starring one of my childhood heroes, Clint Eastwood, called “The Covered Bridges of Madison County”. Essentially Clint, the main character, was on an assignment, photographing the covered bridges of Madison county, as the title of the movie suggests, when he falls for the love interest, in the movie, played by Meryl Streep.

I now, and since 2005, have lived in west central Indiana, but that story will have to wait for another time…

I have been interested in photography since I was a teen, and love to learn about new things and how and why they work. So, I started visiting the local covered bridges and photographing them, for about five years now …

As I get time, I will post the pictures and other information about the bridges on here.

Enjoy your time here, and please leave me a comment or two?

This DVD set will be given to all Indiana public libraries for generations to enjoy.
An effort to preserve our Hoosier history in a digital venue.
This project’s web database will allow a single resource to develop historical, educational and tourism type app.’s.

Please feel free to research our efforts with links provided below.

We are looking for any type of coverage that could promote our project with Kickstarter .
